Monitoring in pedagogical process

Monitoring in pedagogical process in system "teacher - student" - is set of the supervising and diagnosing activities stipulated by the purposefulness of teaching process and providing in dynamics the mastering levels by students of educational material and its corrections. In other words, monitoring is continuous supervising actions in the system "teacher - student" allowing to observe and correct as required advancement of the student from ignorance to knowledge. Thus, monitoring is a regular tracking quality of knowledge and skills mastering in educational process. Only the monitoring providing feedback and informing about the correspondence of activity factual results of the teacher or pedagogical system and to its ultimate goals is capable to reveal and evaluate correctness of teacher activity and also to correct administrative decisions.

At the same time it is necessary to acknowledge that ultimate goals almost never correspond to the assigned, planned one. This situation is usual and general but seldom taken into account by teachers. The main problem and task lies in to evaluate a degree and the reason of this digression. (Kalney V.A., Shishov S.E.)

The various internal and external factors influencing pedagogical system cause these digressions. To such factors reducing efficiency of pedagogical system there are concerned: changes in the purposes of an educational institution, in curriculums, plans, discrepancy of the personal purposes of educational process participants, i.e. students with the purpose of the educational institution, advancing development of science, transition to new techniques and technologies of teaching, change of trainees and pedagogical staff during the process of the purpose achievement. Thus monitoring is connected to revealing and regulation of interactions of factors of an environment and internal factors of the most pedagogical system.

Taking into account, that monitoring is connected to all functions and stages of education management it is expedient to consider some aspects of monitoring.

The combination of all indicated aspects makes uniform educational process of activity of students, teacher, educational institution administration, education control bodies.
