The relevance of intensive technologies implementation

Today there is a modernization of the technical reequipment of all practical public health services and ophthalmology, in particular. This intensity of process, replacement of the old to new, largely advances process of skills acquirement, i.e. skill to work on the new equipment, and in the new way. And if scientific and technical progress has come to the branch by virtue of the objective laws, the system of experts training has remained previous absolutely inadequate to the indicated dynamism. A break between opportunities of the equipment and opportunities of the person has taken place.

The relevant problem was to liquidate or minimize this break.

And before starting the scientific substantiation of an opportunity to liquidate this break on the basis of an intensification of teaching we carried out the sociological researches widely used by experts to receive the additional scientific information about either, one or another process in public health services. For the estimation of efficiency of system activity of public health services as a whole, including a higher school, it was necessary to possess the information of objective and subjective character.

As a result of researches it was revealed the insufficiency of knowledge of optic-physiological and apparatus methods of diagnostics and treatment by the doctors working in system of vision protection. Insufficiency of medical knowledge has caused the necessity of finding-out of the reason, which was hidden apparently in its essential deficiency given in the higher school.

With the purpose of confirmation of this hypothesis 1100 students, including 296 citizens of foreign states have been subjected to sociological questioning. At statistical processing questionnaires the following results have been received.

The degree of the basic ophthalmology training of the students who have come on practical training in the new didactic system after attending the orthodox lectures in the old system, at 72 % of respondents is marked as insufficient, at 3 % - the extremely insufficient, 9 % of respondents were at a loss with their answer and only 16 % have found their knowledge sufficient.

Thus it is revealed that only 6,7 % of students - respondents used a traditional lecture material in preparation for practical trainings. Thus 6,7 % of students require similar lectures only. Other students do not see sense in traditional lectures and consider lecture time, as spent in vain.

When carrying out the given experiment the scientists revealed the reason of such a low demand of the lecture material.

First of all, with the purpose of getting the objective picture the methods, techniques and teaching system as a whole on the faculty of eye illnesses have been analyzed in detail. Pedagogical technologies ere taken as a basis instead of medical. It is appeared that 88 % of a lecture material is given to students only in speech, oral variant. The visual channel, with application of a tabular material amounts to 12 %.
